SGuard
SGuard is the administrator portal for the SGUARD product in the EG Platform suite. A single portal manages two engines that handle opposite directions of mail traffic.
What SGUARD Does in the Pipeline
Internet → SGUARD/SpamGuard → RGUARD → Mail Server
│
Internet ← SGUARD/SendGuard ←──────────────────┘
- Inbound — SpamGuard is the first filter in the pipeline. It rejects obvious spam, spoofing, malicious URLs, and signature-based malware before mail is forwarded to RGUARD for deeper inspection.
- Outbound — SendGuard is the only outbound filter. It inspects every message leaving the organization for approval requirements, PII, malware, and policy violations.
Engines Inside SGuard
SpamGuard (inbound)
- Spam scoring — content, source, frequency, and behaviour analysis
- DKIM verification — detects spoofing and tampered messages
- URL Blacklist — blocks dangerous links before delivery
- Whitelist / Blacklist / Allow List — explicit allow and block rules for senders, domains, and content
- Malware scan — signature-based detection of dangerous attachments
SendGuard (outbound)
- Approval workflow — hold messages for review before they leave
- PII Protection — block messages that contain personally identifiable information
- Account Suspension — stop a compromised or departing account from sending
- Attachment audit — per-file logging with internal copy retained at the gateway
- Large File URL conversion — replace large attachments with secure download links
Shared Capabilities
- Multi-language portal — English, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese
- Audit trail — every classification, action, and policy change is logged
- Reporting and statistics — aggregated metrics for traffic, threats, and operator activity

info
RGUARD is a separate product with its own portal. Threats SpamGuard does not catch (BEC, APT, zero-day phishing) are typically inspected by RGUARD's advanced engines after the message passes through SGUARD. Documentation for the RGUARD portal will be published separately.
