Delete Site from System (Delete Site)

Users can completely remove a configured site from the Multi-CDN system when it's no longer needed. The site deletion process will remove all configurations related to that site from the VNIS database and DNS system.

Technical Site Deletion Process

When a site is deleted, the VNIS system will perform the following operations in sequence:

  1. Cancel CDN Configurations:

    • Remove all Cache Rules, SSL Certificates and Origin Configurations
    • Send Purge All commands to all connected CDNs to clear cached content
    • Unregister domain with partner CDN providers
  2. Delete DNS Data:

    • Remove all DNS records from nameservers
    • Remove zone file from DNS management system
    • Delete DNSSEC configuration (if any)

How to Delete Site in the Interface

Delete site from system

  1. On the DNS Records page, click the Delete site button in the bottom right corner of the interface.
  2. A confirmation window will appear with the warning message:

    "This action cannot be restored."

  3. Re-enter the exact site name (example: nghiks.vn) in the confirmation field.
  4. Click Delete site to confirm permanent deletion of the site from the system.

Completion Confirmation

After confirmation, the system will display a progress bar showing the site deletion status. This process can take from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the number of records and CDN configurations that have been set up. When the process is complete, you will be redirected to the main site management page.

Technical Notes
  • This action cannot be recovered once performed.
  • All DNS records and CDN configurations related to the site will be completely deleted.
  • Deleting the site does not affect the actual domain registered at the registrar, only removes it from the VNIS system.
  • For domains currently using VNIS nameservers, ensure you have changed the NS configuration to another system before deletion to avoid service interruption.
  • Historical traffic metrics will be retained in the backup system for 45 days, after which VNIS will not support checking older statistics.
