FastChannel

Overview​

FastChannel runs FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV) channels: you build a schedule from your VOD library, FastChannel plays it out as a linear 24/7 stream and publishes an EPG so viewers and partner platforms know what is on.

When to use it​

Use FastChannel when you want to turn an existing video library into always-on linear channels — for example a partner OTT app, a hotel or venue channel, or an ad-monetised free tier — without running your own playout infrastructure.

Activate​

FastChannel is self-serve from the Partner Portal:

  1. Open Services → Media & Streaming → FastChannel.
  2. Review the plan and click Activate. VNETWORK provisions the service for your organization.
  3. When provisioning finishes, the card opens into the FastChannel console.

Activation is scoped to your current project. Switch projects from the portal header before activating if you keep environments separate.
