Quick Setup

Quick Setup provides a streamlined configuration path for new users. It is designed to simplify the onboarding process by guiding through the minimum required settings to bring a website under vMaxGuard protection. This feature reduces manual effort and helps ensure that essential security components are correctly configured from the start.

Configure the Website Domain and Origin Server​

Specify the domain name and origin server IP or hostname to be protected.

Note: If the domain is behind a third-party CDN (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai), obtain the origin server details from the CDN provider.

Configure the SSL Certificate​

Select one of the following options to enable HTTPS support:

  • Auto-Generated Certificate (recommended for efficiency and cost-effectiveness)
  • Use Existing Certificate

Configure Security Features​

AI-WAF Protection​

Always enabled; provides baseline intelligent threat detection.

Bot Management​

Optional; enable based on traffic analysis and business needs.

API Protection​

Optional; recommended for applications with exposed API endpoints.
