HLS FairPlay & DASH Widevine

DRM protection for HLS and DASH streaming is provided through Verimatrix Multi-Rights integration, supporting both FairPlay and Widevine encryption standards.

DRM Integration​

VMS integrates with Verimatrix Multi-Rights Common Encryption Interface (CEI) rather than direct FairPlay or Widevine implementation. Contact the sales team for complete DRM solution details.

Enable DRM Protection​

  1. Select Strict Mode: Required for FairPlay and Widevine DRM functionality

  1. Choose DRM Type:
    • HLS + FairPlay via Verimatrix Multi-Rights: Apple FairPlay DRM
    • DASH + Widevine via Verimatrix Multi-Rights: Google Widevine DRM

Implementation Requirements​

CSV File Configuration: Include DRM parameters [siteId],[contentId] in CSV files as specified in Verimatrix Multi-Rights documentation.
